At North Boulder Companion Animal Hospital, we have advanced tools to help accurately diagnose your pet's medical issues. We offer a variety of services, from laser surgery to ultrasound.
With our diagnostic capabilities, our vets are able to produce accurate diagnostic information about your pet's health issues and general condition in order to provide you with immediate treatment options to choose from.
In-House Lab & Pharmacy
We are able to perform tests and get results quickly and efficiently using our in-house lab so we are able to diagnose and treat your cat or dog's symptoms as quickly as possible Our pharmacy is stocked with a wide range of prescription medications and diets, giving us quick access to any medications your pet might need while in our care.
Our Diagnostic Services
With our in-house laboratory, we are pleased to offer advanced diagnostics to allow our veterinarians to provide an accurate diagnosis of your pet's medical issues.
- Radiography (Digital X-Rays)
Using a digital x-ray, also known as a radiograph, we are able to examine your pet's internal systems and structures in order to find information about their condition and health, which wouldn't be detectable otherwise.
Radiography is safe, painless and non-invasive. It uses only very low doses of radiation. Because the level of radiation exposure required to perform radiography is very low, even pregnant females and very young pets can undergo this procedure.
At North Boulder Companion Animal Hospital we also use radiography as part of our dental services. We take clear pictures of your pet's teeth and jaw using this technology, just like at your dentist's office, to keep tabs on your pet's oral health.
- Ultrasound
Ultrasound imaging described the exposure of part of your pet's body to high frequency sound waves in order to produce images of the inside of their body.
Since we are able to capture images in real time with ultrasound, we can see the movement and operation of your pet's internal structures, organs, and blood as it flows through their vessels.
- ECG
Also known as EKG, our hospital uses advanced heart monitoring equipment to conduct diagnostic monitoring and tests. These tests allow us to measure the electrical activity of your pet's heart in real time.
This lets us detect abnormalities in your pet's heart activity, including abnormal rhythms, previous heart attacks, heart disease and more. Our advanced equipment also allows us to make your pet as comfortable as possible during the process.
- Cytology
We use the latest cytology equipment to study blood and urine samples at the cellular level to help us accurately diagnose the health of your pet.
